Welcome to the Freightliner Chassis Owners Club

The Freightliner Chassis Owners Club (FCOC) was founded in 1994 and has over 3500+ motorhome-owning members.  We are sponsored by the Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, located in Gaffney, SC.  The purpose of our club is to provide support and technical information to members on their chassis, to hold rallies throughout the US, to educate our members about knowing their chassis, and to promote social gatherings.

The Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation currently produces more than 75% of the chassis for new motorhomes.

Get the latest news on all the upcoming FCOC rallies from the Q4 issue of the Freightliner Flyer. There are five FCOC rallies scheduled for 2015: one in the western US (San Diego), two in the central US (Amana IA and Fredericksburg TX), and two in the eastern US (Concord NC and Sarasota FL). This array makes it easy for our members to take part in at least one rally this coming year.

The Freightliner Flyer newsletter is published quarterly by the Freightliner Chassis Owners Club and is sent by email to members who have requested it.  All others are sent by mail.

In other news, Steve Batorson gives some followup on FCOC becoming independent of FMCA, Barb Knutson encourages us to attend a rally, and Mary Costigan provides some tips on use of your FCOC Member# when you need to log in at our web site. Remember, though, you only need to log in to update your Member Profile or for similar functions; the rest is open to everyone.

FCOC no longer a part of FMCA    (Click for full story)

Posted: Sunday, October 12, 2014

The Executive Board of the Freightliner Chassis Owners Club (FCOC) voted on September 29, 2014 to no longer be a chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA). The main reason for this decision is that many of our members and prospective members did not want to also have to be an FMCA member, which was a requirement while we still remained a Chapter. Another reason is that FCOC is now free to hold rallies in locations without having to link up with FMCA's schedule.  Recent discussions with the Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp (FCCC) have shown their support for this move, and we hope the links between our club and our namesake company will grow even stronger.
